AN UNEXPECTED INJURY

Mom and Dad went to the doctor's to see about Dad's knee; he buckled it while he was playing tennis on Saturday. I'm a little worried he's going to have to get surgery on it again - he's always had problems with his knees, but this time it might be his ACL.

I hope he gets surgery soon, so that way he can go skiing with us this winter. It would suck so bad if Mom, Ashlyn, and I went and Dad, the person who taught us all how to ski, couldn't go with us. It's kinda strange to think you'll do something without the person that taught you. Dad and I are always pressuring each other into trying harder slopes and it would be wierd if this year he wasn't there to push. I dunno, I hope he either gets his surgery fast or they just have to drain the fluid from his knee and that's it.

Other than that, nothing else much happened today. I worked on my scrapbook most of the morning and then I cleaned out my drawers and my closet. Tomorrow I'm going to clean my room, I think and get rid of some of the clutter all over the place. Tomorrow I also have student orientation at Carroll Community College; I'm kinda excited, because my parents said if I buy my book then I won't have to pay my car insurance for the month! It's depressing to think that my car insurance is equivalent to the price of one college textbook. Goodbye sweet days of ignorant bliss, lol.

Oh and I changed my mind about the color scheme again. I couldn't find a single Pocky picture or icon that would fit and so I settled for the "mmm . . . Chinese" one. But then I got to thinking about how the Japanese are insulted if you confuse them with the Chinese or how the Chinese are insulted if you confuse them with the Japanese (don't ask me why, they just are). So I expected if a Japanese person were to stumble across this journal and see the Pocky inspired color scheme and then see the Chinese icon, they might be a little offended by the whole irony of the situation. So I went for chocolate covered strawberries, my second favorite treat. I'm really hunkering for some right now actually, lol.

Lotsa Luv,

~Megan~
